Where leadership, adventure, and service come together through Scouting.
We’re a Scout-led troop based in Fairview, North Carolina, proudly chartered by Bethlehem Presbyterian Church and part of the Central North Carolina Council. Our Scouts come from Fairview, Unionville, and surrounding communities, and we share one goal — to help young men grow into confident leaders through outdoor adventure, service, and teamwork.
Troop 601 meets every Tuesday evening from 7:00–8:30 PM. Visitors are always welcome to come see what we’re all about!
Troop 601 is a Scout-led troop, meaning the youth themselves plan and run meetings, organize outings, and make decisions under the guidance of trained adult leaders. Through this approach, Scouts learn leadership, responsibility, and self-confidence — skills that last a lifetime.
Our program emphasizes camping, community service, and skill mastery, giving every Scout the opportunity to grow through experience.
From weekend campouts and summer camp to high-adventure treks and day hikes, Troop 601 loves the outdoors. We believe learning happens best when we’re exploring, camping, and working together as a team.
Our Scouts take pride in giving back — from church cleanups and food drives to service projects and Eagle Scout leadership service. We aim to make a positive difference in Fairview and beyond.
Every Scout has the chance to lead. Patrol Leaders, the Senior Patrol Leader, and other youth positions develop organization, communication, and decision-making skills through hands-on practice.
Troop meetings are held every Tuesday from 7:00–8:30 PM at Bethlehem Presbyterian Church in Fairview.
Meetings include skill instruction, patrol breakouts, games, and trip planning — all designed to prepare Scouts for outdoor adventures and real-world leadership.
Stop by any Tuesday evening meeting to meet our Scouts and leaders, see what we do, and learn about our program. Parents are always welcome to attend.
Our Scoutmaster and Member Coordinator will help guide you through the joining process, uniform details, and upcoming activities.
Once ready to join, we’ll help you complete the BSA youth application and provide information about dues, uniforms, and the troop calendar.
